Job Location: Scaffolding Industry Opportunity – West Thurrock, Essex

Job Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience.

Essex based Inner City Scaffolding who are part of the Downwell Group of companies are a rapidly growing company who wish to appoint an a Business Development Manager. Ideally the candidate will have experience within the scaffolding industry and want to take the next step in their career development within a sales orientated environment. Their role will include:

  • Identifying potential sales opportunities
  • Basic estimating
  • Monitoring procurement and industry portals for suitable tender opportunities
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Raising the company profile by attending industry networking and exhibition events

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Scaffolding Lorry/Roll on Roll Off Driver

Job Location: Operating from our Thurrock base & driving in and around London and the South East

Job Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience.

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2/RoRo driver to start immediately. You would be operating out of our company headquarters in Thurrock, Essex and would be driving in and around Central London so a good knowledge of the area would be beneficial.

You would be required to drive both the Roll on Roll Off and our scaffolding flatbed depending on that day’s workload. You will also be required to assist with loading the vehicles and other general yard duties when not driving. You will be working from 06:00 – 16:00 Mon – Fri and also be willing to work the occasional half day Saturday.

The position will suit a driver with Roll on/Roll Off experience. Experience of working within the scaffolding industry would be beneficial to the role but is not essential. Training can be provided to drivers of other Class 2 vehicles who are willing to learn. Excellent opportunity to gain a new skill and work within a large demolition/scaffolding company.

The successful candidate should be confident with the requirements below:

  • Driver CPC is essential
  • CSCS (required for delivering/collecting materials from site
  • Experience with following FORS procedures
  • Clean drivers’ licence
  • Must be over 21 years old
  • Experience driving Class 2 vehicles essential
  • Good time keeping and driving standards
  • Enthusiastic, hard working with great time keeping
