The Surveyors Cup 2019 final details

It is only a few weeks now until the Surveyors Cup 2019. For those teams taking part please see the details below.

Please read carefully

If you are not able to participate on the day please ensure you let us know by the latest 14th June please.

We have a number of reserve teams waiting to come off the bench to step in and they will
require sufficient notice. We are also providing a BBQ and we have to notify our final numbers to the caterers by the 14
th.

Team Sheets
Can you complete a Team sheet Team Sheets and email back, or bring on day
Charity Donations
Any companies that have not made their donations please arrange for this please at https://www.justgiving.com/jermaindefoefoundation.
Reference the donation SC2109. Some teams have informed us that they will be doing so on the day.

Football Kit
This year all teams will be required to provide their own shirts. No kit will be provided. In the event of any shirt colour clashes teams will play in bibs.

Shin pads and boots
Please make your players aware that metal studs are not acceptable and shin pads must be worn for Health and Safety reasons.
Play Football Romford have the right to ban players from taking part if this is not adhered to.

ON THE DAY
Once again we are delighted to have Ex West Ham United Captain Alvin Martin hosting the event and will be using  his Talk Sport skills to commentate on the finals.

Venue:
Play Football Romford – https://www.playfootball.net/venues/romford,
The venue is located about a twenty five minute walk from Romford Mainline Station. Car Parking is avaialbe.

Arrival time:
The tournament will start at 1.00pm sharp.
All teams need to be registered by 12.30 to allow time for team briefings so please arrive as early as possible

If we can start earlier we will so your early attendance will be appreciated.

We would aim to have the finals played 5.15 to 6.00pm

On arrival:
Please nominate a person from each team to register you arrival at he main reception desk so we can tick off teams.

Please hand in your team sheets.

You will be given an envelope with drinks/BBQ vouchers for the bar and BBQ for after the tournament. You will also get a kickabout ball.

You will also get a group fixture list.

Changing Rooms:
There are changing rooms at the venue. We suggest that you keep any bags with you or put in the car as there is no secure area.

Team Briefing:
We will hold a team briefing on the main pitch at 12.45. It is important you arrive in plenty of time and make sure you keep your team together in order we can kick off at 1.00 sharp

Sports Physio
We will once again have our excellent Sports Physios McKagans on hand, so arrive early for a pre match loosen up. They will be on site throughout the tournament.

These will be explained and will be enforced by Play Football Romford

As of the 4th June these are the groups you will be play in. If teams drop out or new ones brought in we will have to alter accordingly.

Timings of matches:
These will be decided by Play Football subject to the final number of participating teams on the day.

Referees:
Each match will have a referee and their decision is final. Please respect this.

Format:
The initial stages are in a group league format.

32 teams will remain after the Group stages.

Surveyor Cup Knockout Stage:
The 16 teams finishing in the top places will go into the Surveyors Cup 2019 knock out competition.

Plate Knock Competition:
The 16 teams finishing in 3rd and 4th places will go into a plate competition

Wooden Spoon Competition
The teams finishing in the 8 bottom placings will be invited to take part in a Wooden Spoon Competition to avoid being crowned overall losers.
It also gives you chance for more game time

BBQ Served:
After the group stages the BBQ will be opened and will remain open until after the finals for those wishing not to eat .

Penalty Shoot Out Competition Trophy:
For those teams who have registered for the penalty shoot-out this will take place after the Group stages during the break for the BBQ. It will involve a designated player to enter into a sudden death penalty shoot-out against a Gray’s Athletic Keeper.

To take part it is and additional £10. 00 payable by cash on the day with the money going to the Jermain Defoe Foundation.The last two players who remain will result in their team going into a final where their whole team will be asked to take five penalties

Seven a Side Pitch:
We will be utilising a seven a side pitch for one of the groups with five a side goals.

Drinks:
Water will be provide on the day and each player will get an energy drink.

Video and Photographer
We will also have Photographer and video man on site so if you want any special pictures taken please feel free to ask. We will be taking a group photo on
the main pitch after the briefing via our drone.

We are hoping to have  match worn shirt for Celtic Vs Rangers Old Firm Derby for auction. If anyone wants to put a bid in before the day please email myself
